The 3 inch screen of the Celestron FlipView folds out when you need it, and folds flush with the microscope body when you don't, making this portable scientific instrument a cinch to take with you.  The rechargeable lithium ion battery provides hours of viewing time when you're out in the field, and if you find yourself close to an AC outlet, you can save your battery power and use the included AC adapter.

Portable, easy-to-use microscope can be used three different ways

The size and handling of the FlipView microscope is reminiscent of a compact video camera in that you can easily handhold for magnified views of a multitude of objects when you are on the go.  However, the Celestron FlipView Microscope has versatility in spades!  If you have access to a flat surface or table, you can sit the microscope down so that the magnifying chamber lies flat—perfect for viewing coins, stamps, and other small, flat objects.  Or, if you have a bit more time and want to view 3D objects, set up the FlipView on the included metal stand.  You'll appreciate the two articulation points that can be adjusted to point precisely at your subject.

Take pictures and videos of your subjects

The Celestron FlipView LCD Microscope will do more than just show you magnified views.  With its onboard 5 megapixel CMOS sensor, a 5-element IR cut lens, and a ring of eight adjustable LED's for illumination, you can take beautiful photos and video of your subjects.  To save the images, simply insert a Micro SD card of up to 32 GB, or plug the FlipView into the USB port on your PC or Mac computer and capture the images with the included software.
