The Tele Vue 3mm-6mm Nagler Planetary Zoom Eyepiece is perfect for viewing celestial objects under high magnification with a fast refractor or Newtonian. This cannot be said of all zoom eyepieces, but, as is often the case, TeleVue provides a solution that is the exception to the rule. The 3-6mm Nagler Zoom offers superb optics and multi-coatings offer sharp, high contrast views. Plus, this eyepiece maintains its focus, field of view, and eye relief throughout the focal length range.

To study Saturn's ring structure up close or get every last detail on the surface of Jupiter may only happen a handful of evenings a year. For tweaking out the last bit of power that the atmosphere will permit on your fast telescope, this Tele Vue Nagler Zoom eyepiece is the best tool you can have.

Recommended for 800mm focal length telescopes or less

As mentioned earlier, the TeleVue 3-6mm Nagler Zoom Eyepiece is best suited for shorter focal length telescopes. For example, in a relatively standard 80mm aperture, 480mm focal length f/6 refractor, this eyepiece would provide a magnification range of 80x to 160x. This would be fantastic for lunar and planetary observing.

Tele Vue's design features five elements in three groups, with a negative lens group ahead of the focal plane. By independently moving the upper and lower lens groups, the eye relief, field of view, and focus remain constant throughout the zoom range. Simply rotate the upper barrel to zoom to the ideal magnification for the current seeing conditions. Built-in click stops let you know where you are without having to look.
