  • Description

Celestron 10x50 Nature DX ED Binoculars

Celestron's already award-winning Nature DX binocular series is now even better with the inclusion of ED objective lenses. This is a noteworthy upgrade that raises the optical performance level of these Nature DX binoculars to that of more expensive models, but for a price that won't break the bank.

Capable of accumulating a large quantity of light with their bountiful 50 mm objective lenses, these binoculars are the optimal choice for observing at dawn or dusk when viewing conditions are poor. In addition, 10x magnification makes this model ideal for long distance viewing or surveillance.

    ED Objective Lenses

Chromatic aberration, or color fringing, a visual defect frequently experienced by binocular users, is all but completely eliminated due to the Nature DX's Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) glass. Enjoy razor sharp images even at the edges of the view field, as well as vibrant, realistic color.

Not all ED glass is created equal. Celestron’s high quality ED glass delivers visibly brighter, sharper images compared to non-ED binoculars. The difference is especially apparent in low light conditions, such as at dawn or dusk.

    Coatings and Prisms

All Nature DX ED binoculars contain fully multi-coated optics. For a binocular to be considered "fully multi-coated", all interior air-to-glass surfaces need to be coated with multiple anti-reflectivity coating layers. This enables the greatest possible amount of light to pass through to the user's eye.

Nature DX ED prisms feature high quality BaK-4 glass using phase coatings to allow more light to be transmitted through to the eye by reflecting that light off their internal faces.

The combination of fully multi-coated lenses and BaK-4 prisms delivers exceptionally bright views with enhanced detail. These features are given a further boost, especially in low light conditions, thanks to ED glass objective lenses.

    The Body

A durable rubber armored, polycarbonate housing protects your Nature DX ED binoculars from damage without weighing you down. Viewing through Nature DX ED binoculars is a comfortable experience for both eyeglass wearers and non-eyeglass wearers, due to sturdy twist-up eyecups. Twist through multiple click stops to find the position that works best for you. What’s more, the binocular is fully waterproof and filled with dry nitrogen gas to prevent internal fogging of lenses. Nature DX ED binoculars are able to stand up to even the toughest outdoor conditions.

Perfect for a Variety of Uses

With 10x magnification, this Nature DX ED binocular model is ideal for viewing remote subjects close-up. 50 mm objective lenses allow for maximum light accumulation, while remaining light enough for handheld use without a tripod. Naturally, these binoculars are also capable of attaching to a tripod using a separately sold adapter in order to extend observing sessions or enable digiscoping.

    Ways to Observe

Comfortably carry your Nature DX ED binoculars using the included strap. Tripod adaptable, these binoculars can be mounted to any standard photographic tripod for extended viewing or digiscoping (photography through the eyepiece). Tripod adapter sold separately. A protective padded nylon case is also included for protection during storage and transport.
