Description

The Celestron CM800 Compound Microscope is a real scientific instrument at an affordable price. The CM800 can magnify your microscopic specimens with six different power levels, including 40x, 80x 100x, 200x, 400x and 800x. To increase or decrease the magnification level, choose one of the included eyepieces—10x or 20x—and insert it in the monocular head of the microscope. Then, simply rotate the objective nosepiece until one of three lenses clicks into place, and adjust the focus knob until the view is nice and sharp.

The CM800 has upper and lower LED illumination

The Celestron CM800 microscope has built-in adjustable LED lights that can illuminate the subject from above the prepared slide as well as underneath. This is a nice feature because some subjects are transparent and require illumination from below, while others benefit from the spotlight effect. To achieve the perfect illumination on the lower LED, simply turn the knob next to the condenser to choose one of six different light levels.

Have microscope, will travel

The cool-to-the-touch LED lighting is powered by your choice of either three AAA batteries or a universal AC adapter, both of which are included. It’s nice to know that you can take your microscope anywhere, without being dependent on household current.

Instant gratification with included prepared slides

Celestron has included a box of ten prepared slides so that you can start exploring the microscopic world right out of the box. Inexpensive blank slides are available separately if you wish to prepare your own specimens, and you’ll be surprised by the number of prepared slide kits available!
