Description
The Celestron Labs CB2000CF Compound Binocular Microscope is very similar to the CM2000CF model, except it has an upgraded binocular head for more comfortable, ergonomic views. The CB2000CF offers magnifications of up to 2000x, and includes a mechanical stage, coarse and fine focus knobs, halogen lighting, and an Abbe condenser. The CB200CF is perfect for teachers, the inquisitive student, or the hobbyist who would like a classic binocular microscope with a wide range of magnifications.
40x - 2000x magnification
The CB2000CF comes with a pair of 10x WF and a 20X WF eyepieces. Each set of eyepieces will provide different magnifications when paired with the four objective lenses assembled in a classic rotating turret. The 10x wide field eyepieces come with a pointer to help other observers zero in on the most important aspects of the specimen. Enjoy eight magnification choices that include 40x, 80x, 100x, 200x, 400x, 800x, 1000x and 2000x.
Binocular viewing - your eyes will thank you
Most people enjoy the comfort that a binocular microscope offers. Using both eyes allows them to relax into an observing session, and may allow you to see more detail. Also, a binocular microscope, in general, handles magnifications of over 1000x better than a similar microscope with a monocular head. The binocular head on the CB2000CF microscope allows for interpupillary distance adjustments as well as diopter adjustments on both eyepieces.
Halogen lighting and Abbe NA 1.25 condenser
The Celestron CB2000CF microscope uses a Halogen lamp for specimen illumination. Halogen provides a very white, bright, concentrated light. The iris diaphragm of the NA 1.25 Abbe condenser concentrates and focuses the light so that your specimen is perfectly illuminated from underneath. A dial is located near the condenser to allow adjustments to the light level.
Mechanical stage for perfect positioning of your subject
A fully adjustable mechanical stage is one of the upgraded features on the CB2000CF microscope from Celestron Labs. The stage measures 4.3 inches by 4.9 inches, providing plenty of room for your slide, and adjustable stage holders keep the specimen in place. Stage movement knobs make up, down, left, or right movements to the stage, allowing you to center your prepared slide perfectly over the opening.
This compound binocular microscope is made of metal for heavy-duty performance. Accessories include an AC power cord, three colored filters to help increase the contrast of your specimens, a small bottle of immersion oil, and ten prepared slides in a storage box.Supplier SKU
