The Celestron Labs CM1000C Compound Microscope is perfect for schools, the inquisitive student, or the hobbyist. It is loaded with features that are normally seen on instruments costing much more, including a coaxial focusing knob that allows for minute changes in focus to produce the sharpest images.
40x - 1000x magnification
The CM1000C comes with two eyepieces that each provide different magnifications when paired with the three objective lenses assembled in a classic rotating turret. Magnification choices include 40x, 100x, 250x, 400x, and 800x.
Adjustable LED for cool-to-the-touch illumination
A cool LED provides lower illumination of specimen slides. The amount of light reaching the subject can be adjusted by turning the condenser's aperture knob. A choice of six different light levels are available so that you can provide the perfect illumination for each slide.
Perfect for exploring the great outdoors
The Celestron CM1000C microscope is not a toy. It's sturdy all-metal construction assures years of use. The LED light can be powered by 110V household current or by three AA batteries. An AC adapter is included, as are your first set of batteries, for operation when you don't have access to a wall outlet. This makes the CM1000C portable and great for family expeditions into the great outdoors. A set of ten prepared slides are also included with this Celestron microscope, for instant gratification right out of the box.
