The Celestron NV-2 Night Vision Scope is a compact single-hand device that enables viewing at dusk as well as at night, still image and video recording, in-device playback, and more. By allowing targets as far away as 200 meters or 656 feet to be easily observed, the NV-2 functions best when tasked with viewing wildlife, as part of a security surveillance system, or for numerous other activities. Lift the Veil of Darkness

Whether your subject is close by or far off in the distance, the NV-2 Night Vision Scope lets you see them clearly, even in the darkest conditions. Track the movements of wildlife as they go about their nocturnal activities.

The NV-2 Night Vision Scope has two modes of operation which are contingent upon ambient lighting conditions. In near or absolute darkness, the NV-2's infared (IR) beam is activated for clear views with high detail. The intensity of the IR beam can be adjusted in order to observe subjects at varying distances with better clarity. For observing in low light, such as at dawn or dusk, you can use the NV-2's low illumination CCD while bypassing the IR beam.

For increased image quality, the Celestron NV-2 Night Vision Scope offers a VGA 640x480 color display. Screen brightness self-adjusts based on your current environment's brightness.

Capture Things that Go Bump in the Night

For those who want to record their nighttime observations, the NV-2 features both still image and video recording capability. Save your photos and videos to the included 8 GB microSD memory card or swap the card out for a microSD card of your own.

You can play back images and videos in the field or take your scope home and transfer your recordings to your Mac or Windows PC via an included USB 2.0 cable. The computer will automatically recognize the content on the memory card. You’ll also receive an audio/video output cable to display your videos on the big screen—compatible with both PAL and NTSC monitors.

Rugged Construction for Tough Use

The NV-2 Night Vision Scope body consists of a durable polymer and a thick rubber armor coating for protecting the objective and eyepiece lenses. Water resistant IPX4, this scope can be used confidently in damp conditions as well as hold up to water splashes in the field. A rechargeable lithium-ion battery powers the Celestron NV-2 for between 2 and 3 hours of continuous use.
