Go beyond basic eyepieces and get beautiful, 52 degree views with Celestron’s Omni series. These 4-element premium symmetrical Plossl eyepieces are available in a variety of focal lengths. Enjoy wide field objects with the low power 32mm and 40mm models or punch in for high magnification with up to 4mm.
With every Omni eyepiece, you’ll see more detail thanks to multiple features that increase light transmission and provide brighter views. First, all lens edges are blackened to provide maximum contrast. Then, each Omni is anondized twice to reduce reflections—something you won’t find in other eyepieces at this price point.
Customize your viewing experience by adding filters! All Omnis accept standard 1.25” eyepiece filters.
Omni eyepieces are available in the following focal lengths:
- 4mm - Eye Relief 6mm

Q1: How crisp would this be in a Tasco 500x4.5 reflector EQ, and what can it see (can it see galaxies) how far does it see in a 1000mm telescope. Would you recommend it, if not tell of another eyepiece I could get.
A: The Celestron Omni 4mm eyepiece would be a good match for the Tasco 500x4.5 Reflector. It will magnify everything that your scope brings in 250 times, which is just about the maximum magnification the scope can handle. Eyepieces can't magnify what the scope can't bring in, though. A 4.5-inch reflector can reach out to Magnitude 12 or a little better. That brings in the light from roughly 5 million stars. The 4.5-inch scope will reveal structure in the Andromeda Galaxy and give views of several other galaxies.
Q2: Is the 4mm lens compatible with the Celestron NextStar 4SE? Or do you recommend a different lens? I would really like to see the rings of Saturn.
A: The Celestron 4SE can only support up to 240x magnification, and the 4mm would give you 330x magnification. We recommend a 6mm eyepiece which is 225x magnification. It is the highest eyepiece your telescope can support with clarity.
Q3: Would these eyepieces be a good match for a vintage C8?
A: If your C8 uses a standard 1.25" eyepiece, these would work quite well.
