Using the smartphone adapter included with this Ultima Series Spotting Scope allows both images and video to be instantly captured with your smart device. Simultaneously lightweight and rigid, this adapter's frame enables connection between any smartphone and any eyepiece with an outside diameter of 45 mm or less including the Ultima Series zoom eyepiece. This eyepiece delivers extra magnification for stunning views, at both long and short distances, of birds and other wildlife. It even permits nighttime lunar observing! Simple installation requires only seconds of your time. All you have to do is clamp this adapter over the top of the eyepiece and securely lock your phone in place using the tightening knobs. Keep in mind that some large or overly large phone cases (including folio style cases) may have to be taken off in order for the phone to fit in the adapter.

The magnification range of the Celestron Ultima 80's zoom eyepiece is 20x to 60x. Lower magnifications are best for landscape scanning while higher magnifications are great for when you want to hone in on small targets for an up-close view with plenty of detail. A large, ergonomic focus knob ensures your subject will always be in clear view. Rubber gripped zoom and focus knobs enable smooth adjusting for anyone, including those wearing gloves. Designed for versatility, the Ultima 80 Spotting Scope provides excellent performance in a wide variety of viewing situations, making it an outstanding all-purpose optical instrument.

The Ultima 80 Spotting Scope is tripod adaptable for an array of viewing alternatives. Easily secures to a stable platform for comfortable viewing at long distances or for long durations. This spotter also comes with a view-through carrying case that can be left on at all times during use, transport, and when being stored away.
