Coronado SolarMax II 40 mm Double Stacking Etalon w/ RichView Tuning Filter - SME-40

The widely popular Coronado SolarMax II 40mm Double Stacking Etalon filter now features a RichView tuning system. The add-on filter greatly reduces the normal bandwidth of a SolarMax 40 telescope or filter set from the single stack 0.7 Angstrom performance to a more restrictive 0.5 A, increasing visibility of surface detail and active regions on the Solar disc. This product MUST be combined with a primary SolarMax 40 filter and blocking filter, or a complete Coronado SolarMax 40 telescope. Not to be used alone!

Included patented RichView tuning assembly allows direct tuning of the primary filter etalon. No other commercially available Ha telescope can provide the tuning range and accuracy of the SolarMax II. Now you can tune for the highest contrast views of active regions, filaments and surface detail, or quickly and easily re-tune for prominences on the solar limb. This filter cannot be used as a stand-alone filter, primary and blocking filters required.
