Explore Scientific Saddle Plate for 80 mm ED Refractors
This Explore Scientific saddle plate has been custom fitted for Explore's ED80 or TED80 refractor telescope. The correct saddle plate is essential to providing your telescope with the proper safety and stability it needs. Like a saddle between a rider and his horse, a telescope saddle plate is often the only piece of hardware between your optical tube assembly and the mount.
Explore Scientific's industry-standard saddle plates provide flexibility for Explore Scientific telescope mounting. This short Vixen-style saddle plate is 5.125" in length and features solid extruded aluminum construction throughout with a smooth black anodized finish for longevity. Stand-off block included with this saddle plate/extender combination enables focuser rotation where applicable. Lightweight yet strong, this saddle plate fits between the bottom of your OTA and the saddle of a wide variety of popular Vixen-style mounts.
